JANUARY- Winter Sowing Workshop! (in covered rows or plastic containers)

Guests attending our Winter Sowing Workshop will enjoy an afternoon of expert instruction on how to start seeds early outdoor WITHOUT a greenhouse! We use several different methods to achieve this and you will be able to determine which method is best for your needs and budget. You don't need expensive coverings or heat. Free milk jugs or buckets and a little patience is all it takes to get early harvests and blooms! We will provide some local sources for free jugs/buckets as well.

Guests will be welcomed with Gourmet Coffee, Hot Chocolate and various Farm Fresh Herbal + Floral Tea blends served along with locally sourced honey and yummy snacks.

All supplies will be provided for you to create 3 miniature greenhouses with seeds/soil and instruction. You are also welcome to bring your own seeds if you prefer to germinate those instead!

Schedule:

2pm-2:30pm Intro/Discussion of various Winter Sowing Methods/Instruction

2:30pm-3:30pm WORKSHOP- You will begin making your own mini greenhouses and sowing provided seed (you are welcome to bring your own seed as well).

3:30-4pm Concluding Q&A- we will answer any questions you may have about the various methods discussed as well as any questions about seed sowing, germination, care etc.

Gourmet Coffee, Hot Chocolate and various Farm Fresh Herbal + Floral Tea blends will be served along with locally sourced honey as well as yummy snacks. There is also a restroom on site.
