Bee City Takeover-

  

The City of Florence is Committed to Protecting Local Pollinators

The City of Florence was designated as a Bee City USA affiliate after the City council members approved a resolution in 2019. Florence joins only four other communities and campuses in the state as Bee City affiliates.

The Bee City USA program endorses a set of commitments, defined in a resolution, for creating sustainable habitats for pollinators, which are vital to feeding the planet. Incorporated cities, towns, counties and communities across America are invited to make these commitments and become certified as a Bee City USA affiliate.

Gift Market-

The Gift Market is an opportunity to shop til' you drop for all things local!

Are you ready for one of our biggest events of the year? The Annual Holiday Gift Market is on the fourth Saturday in November from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the City Center Market located at 200 Sanborn Street.

Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa, enjoy hot chocolate, decorate our Market tree and roast marshmallows by the fire. We also have live entertainment and a vast assortment of handmade crafts and gifts. Enjoy your shopping experience with locally-made artisan goods, unique gifts, stocking stuffers and more. Join us for a special night at the market as we bring holiday joy and priceless memories for you and your loved ones!

      JamFest-

      Jam Fest is a full day event at the City Center Farmers Market that will have jam tastings, a jam competition scored by local judges, family friendly activities, traditional farmers market vendors, producers, and artisans. 

      City Center Market located at 200 Sanborn Street.

      Tent or Treat- 

      Let's Have a Fang-Tastic Night!

        Every year in October, on the last Saturday before Halloween, the City      Center Market holds its annual Tent or Treat event.
        Children in Halloween costumes and 12 or under are welcome to Tent or Treat through the market while supplies last. Lookout for a participating vendor list to come out on the City Center Market Facebook page, or look for the tents marked with orange pumpkins.
        Come have a spooky time with us from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 200 Sanborn Street. Wear your costume, bring your trick or treat bag and be ready for some hauntingly good fun!
         

         

        PARKING FOR ALL EVENTS: 

        Parking for the City Center Farmers Market and it's events will be at the Barnes Street Activity Center, Stokes Regional Eye Center parking lot (Saturdays only), and on-street parking on Evans St.
